I grew up healthily. No sinusitis. No eczema. No allergies.
Only slightly fat. LOL. (How I wish I could enjoy food without the worry of gaining weight! Hmmpphhh...!)
Life was all good until a couple of years ago.
I have developed an allergy to fruits—especially durian! Sometimes mango. Gosh!
My lips and tongue and throat will be swollen even after one bite. I'd look like someone who just injects botox on their lips. It's not that severe, but it does make me think twice before taking a bite of durian.
And only last week I discovered that I'm also now allergic to penicillin. My whole body flared and looked (still does) like the world map. I can spot Nicaragua from afar on my thigh.
Had to go to the doctor and get some meds.
Funny how you get older with allergies. I wish I'm good at bio that I understand the whys and hows in science. I'm curious. Maybe when my brain capacity is a bit lighter, I'll take time to read on this topic—why some allergies are developed in adulthood.
As I'm fasting today (as you might as well know I'm not someone who does suhoor), I have to wait until the sunset to have my meds. Until then, let's bear this itchiness. Urgh...
